Senior Project Advisor

Stephen Love of Love Impact Strategies LLC has been retained as a Senior Project Advisor to facilitate a landscape assessment and strategy recommendations for local public institutions to leverage and finance the build out of local clean energy infrastructure in Northeast Ohio.

Stephen is an environmental philanthropy and policy leader with 11 years of philanthropic experience at the Cleveland Foundation, most recently serving as Program Director for Environmental Initiatives. There, he built the Foundation’s environmental grantmaking strategy and positioned it as a regional and national leader on climate, clean energy, water, and greenspace—organizing coalitions, securing external capital, and aligning partners to successfully leverage more than $286M in federal IRA clean energy awards for the region. Stephen helped launch statewide and national collaborations, including Power A Clean Future Ohio and the Community Foundation Climate Collaborative, and leveraged social impact capital for land conservation and public access projects. His strengths include coalition-building, convening multi‑sector partnerships, grantmaking strategy, and driving public-private capital into scalable climate solutions.

Stephen holds an MPA from the Levin College of Urban Affairs and a BA in Political Science, International Relations, and Spanish from Baldwin‑Wallace University and serves on regional boards and steering committees focused on transit, water equity, parks, and climate funding, including the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. Stephen lives on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland’s North Collinwood neighborhood with his wife Allison, their young son Lorenzo, and two lovely cats.
