Jing Lyon

Senior Advisor 

Jing Lyon is a Senior Advisor for Power Up Local and an operations strategist with a track record of helping mission-driven organizations build the capacity to grow and sustain their impact.

Jing most recently served as Interim CEO and Managing Director of BRITE Energy Innovators, where she led programs designed to accelerate clean energy startups across Ohio — connecting entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship, and industry networks needed to grow. Her career in clean energy began as a Battery Technologist at Stratum Energy Systems, where she worked in product and process development at the intersection of energy storage and fuel cell technology. Prior to BRITE, Jing also founded an electric bicycle company in Cleveland and built experience in corporate consulting specializing in data and business analytics.

Jing also serves as Executive Director of the Ohio Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Coalition, where she is focused on strengthening the Coalition’s voice and positioning Ohio as a leader in the hydrogen and fuel cell economy. She is an Adjunct Instructor at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, teaching Energy & Entrepreneurship, and facilitates peer mastermind groups and coaches individuals navigating career transitions and purpose-driven work.

Jing holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. When she’s not at work, she can be found in Ohio City, where she lives with her husband, a clowder of cats, and a flock of chickens on their small urban farm.
