Hannah VanLaningham

Project Manager

Hannah VanLaningham brings a unique blend of environmental expertise, project coordination skills, and a passion for community-focused solutions to her role at Power Up Local. As Project Manager, Hannah leads the day-to-day management of clean energy projects, working closely with engineering teams, municipal partners, and community organizations to ensure timely, efficient, and impactful project delivery. She oversees project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while supporting regulatory compliance and helping to establish new systems and processes in a dynamic startup environment.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from The Ohio State University and additional MBA coursework from Ohio Dominican University, Hannah has built a career that bridges environmental stewardship with practical project execution. Before joining Power Up Local, she contributed to large-scale infrastructure and environmental projects at Phillips & Jordan as a Junior Estimator and Project Coordinator, where she developed comprehensive cost estimates, facilitated communication between key stakeholders, and ensured projects were delivered on time and on budget.

Hannah’s previous experience includes serving as a Program Coordinator at All-T.H.A.T., where she supported at-risk youth through academic development and volunteer engagement. She also served as an AmeriCorps member with Our City Forest in San Jose, CA, leading volunteer programs and environmental education initiatives, and as an ecological intern with the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Hannah is known for her collaborative spirit, attention to detail, and dedication to sustainability. Outside of work, she enjoys nurturing her collection of plants and participating in community service efforts that reflect her environmental values.
